Small Business Saturday, falling between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, is a day dedicated to supporting small businesses during the busiest shopping weekend of the year. Better Business Bureau encourages consumers to support small businesses on this day.

Better Business Bureau joins American Express, a BBB Accredited Business and National Partner, to raise awareness of the benefits of shopping locally. Last year, more than one hundred million consumers shopped with small businesses on this day to assist in boosting local economies and preserving neighborhoods across the country.

“While the draw of Black Friday and Cyber Monday is enticing with deals galore, Small Business Saturday gives back to our community,” said Gary Almond, president of BBB serving northeast California. “The day encourages us to put money back into our local economies, making it a benefit to all involved.”

BBB encourages consumers to research all companies before doing business with them by searching for the business on bbb.org from your mobile phone. You can also find a list of businesses that meet and support BBB’s Code of Business Practices through BBB’s Accredited Business Directory
