SACRAMENTO, Ca., March 11, 2013 – Better Business Bureau celebrated its 100th year by helping over 180 million consumers across the United States and Canada, along with setting new records in virtually every category of service.
Inquiries to BBB rose more than 20 percent nationally. Locally, the BBB serving northeastern California fielded a record breaking one million inquiries regarding marketplace issues in its service area covering 24 counties.
“We are proud to know that so many of our community members are researching before purchasing,” said Gary Almond, president of BBB serving northeast California. “It’s encouraging to know that as we enter our second century of existence, BBB is still growing and increasing in relevancy.”
Better Business Bureau maintains BBB Business Reviews on more than 69,000 businesses in the northeastern California territory and rates them based on complaint histories, responsiveness to customers, licensing, government action, and other factors.
